Black Wolf is a #hiddengem & has the remote cabin vibes from the outside & comfort on the inside. We have Rise Broadband Wifi, so you can stream your favorite tv apps. Other Details to Note
-Minimum age to book is 21 years old and primary renter must stay for the duration of the booking.
-Firewood for the wood stove can be purchased locally in Fairplay. Ask us for details!
- We REQUIRE 4-wheel drive/ AWD in the winter months (Nov-April), due to the snow accumulation in the area. The county roads are maintained and plowed along with the driveway. We have a reliable plow service if it snows more than 4 inches but plowing isn’t immediate and may take a day or so depending on snow accumulation.
- HIGH ALTITUDE CABIN - we sit at over 10,000ft. Please drink lots of water prior to and at arrival and bring moisturizer for skin. Take it easy on your first couple of days.
- WILDLIFE - Please be mindful of wildlife in the area and keep pets in leashes. Please no food left outdoors.

The neighborhood is a rural setting and located in Pike National Forest and near Mt. Sherman. Hiking trails are within minutes and a private fishing pond is located within a 5 minute walk. This is a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors.

Staying at this cabin was such an amazing experience! It was right in the middle of everything we wanted to do in Colorado. The cabin was perfectly clean and even had extra things to make it feel like home (coffee and tea.) There was some wildlife nearby which made it a very unique experience! Communication with Ginger was amazing. We could not have asked for a better host or location!

Ginger's cabin is thoughtfully furnished and had everything we could have needed. The view is beautiful and we especially enjoyed the gorgeous sunrise and animal visitors (deer and moose!). The location is great if you want some peace and quiet. It is also close to many hiking trails and National Forest land.

Ginger’s house was perfect! Everything was neat and clean, had great amenities and was very spacious & comfortable. The town has some great restaurants and bars just down the road. The property was beautiful and perfect for our dog. The bed was SUPER comfortable which was a huge plus after traveling for a week. We will definitely be back!

4WD or AWD car is required in winter. Our county roads and driveway are snow plowed if possible but highways can be dangerous. Please consult highway conditions. Our cabin is less than 10 minutes to Fairplay and grocery store. The drive is mostly on paved roads until the last block. We are very easy to get to from the highway. We have plenty of parking in front of our home.
